A Process Approach to Rebuilding a Guidance Program

 A group of high school coun realized that theyselors decided that they wanted to make some changes in their program. They realized thta they had become administrative assistants over the years and that far too much classes, making schedulle changes, and completing paper works. After a study of their weekly schedules, it was obvious they did not have a developmental guidance program and that some counselors interventions (e.g., small group counseling, large group guidance, peer facilitator projects) were seldom used. As criticism of their work and lack of support among teachers increased, they met together to discuss ehat might be done.
